Starling Marte

In addition to Mark Canha and Eduardo Escobar, the Mets also signed free agent Starling Marte to a four-year, $70 million deal. Marte originally signed with the Marlins in 2021, but was then traded to the Oakland Athletics and improved his performance there. The Mets will use Marte as an everyday outfielder.
