After a breakout rookie season with the Las Vegas 51s, Brandon Nimmo began his professional career with the New York Mets’ Class-A Advanced affiliate. By April 17, he was the leading hitter in the South Atlantic League. By May, he had been named to the SAL mid-season all-star team. In addition to his stellar performance in the minors, Nimmo was voted into the All-Star Futures Game.
