When it comes to the MLB Draft, Ryan Zimmer was one of the top overall picks, and the Toronto Blue Jays were excited to have him. While Zimmer was a top college hitter and a two-hole potential, he never fully latches on in his two-and-a-half seasons in Cleveland. With Hernandez sidelined, Zimmer will be guaranteed at least some playing time, and he has all the tools necessary to take over Dyson’s role. If he can develop a consistent plate discipline and stop chasing pitches, he should be a big asset for the Blue Jays and help them win baseball games.
