A 0.00 ERA and no walks in six innings is impressive for a starter with limited experience in the majors. Jimenez was a Rule V draft pick and has now returned to the Oakland Athletics. He showed promise in Triple-A last year, but walked 25 batters while striking out 71 in 69 innings. He has yet to surrender a run, but the A’s need a closer.
