A minor leaguer, Lugo will make his debut in the majors this season after the Mets called him up. He made his major league debut on July 1, but was sent back to the minors after pitching two scoreless innings. As a result, he’ll be a key bullpen piece in 2022. Lugo, 28, has a 2.65 ERA and a strong curveball out of the bullpen. He’ll be a solid option again, and will be a big part of the Mets’ bullpen again in 2022.
