The Washington Nationals have been without a reliable outfielder for most of the season, but Hernandez is beginning to prove himself as an asset in their lineup. The Washington outfielder has been hitting safely in seven straight games and has reached base in 10 of his last 11 games. In addition, manager Dave Martinez has started Hernandez in the fourth or fifth spot in the order in every game since April 24. However, a few injuries have limited his production in the Nationals’ outfield.
