The Kyle Finnegan Washington Nationals are in the midst of their resurgence and have signed the lefty to a guaranteed major league deal. A former Texas State baseball player, Finnegan has never pitched a full major league inning. He has spent parts of three seasons in Triple-A before making the jump to the big leagues. Drafted in the sixth round of the 2013 draft, he was considered a minor league journeyman that could be easily replaced by another pitcher. But when his minor league contract expired, he hit the market four days later, signing with the Nationals on a guaranteed major league deal.
