Outfielder Kevin Kiermaier, who played with the Tampa Bay Rays for six seasons, is a Gold Glove winner and a three-time All-Star. His stellar play led to numerous awards, including the 2015 Platinum Glove Award, the Gold Glove Award for center fielders, and the Fielding Bible Award. His power and walk rate increased as well. In May 2016, Kiermaier broke two bones in his left hand. Despite the injury, he stayed in the game and continued to work out but was eventually removed from the game.
