Venezuelan professional baseball player José Marcano plays for the Pittsburgh Pirates in Major League Baseball. He previously played for the San Diego Padres. Marcano was born on July 29, 1990, in Caracas, Venezuela. He has played in all three levels of baseball, including the majors. Marcano was drafted in the second round of the 2006 MLB Draft. His major league debut came on June 25, 2006.
