The Astros put outfielder Jake Meyers on the injured list Thursday and have not given an exact return date for him. The left-hander will undergo surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder, and is not expected to return to the field until May. However, he is expected to complete his rehab program before he is activated. Once he returns, he should be a strong contender for everyday at-bats in Houston.
