After signing with the Cincinnati Reds, reliever Daniel Duarte will make his major league debut in 2022. He spent last season at four levels of minor league baseball and has yet to pitch more than two innings in the majors. In 2021, Duarte posted a 4.56 ERA in 23.2 innings while striking out 32 batters. He also recorded eight saves. The Reds plan to use Duarte in their bullpen this season.
