The Reds signed Impact Garcia to a minor-league contract on November 14. Since then, Garcia has concentrated on his preparation for the spring training camp. Garcia played 62 games last season and spent the offseason playing winter ball in the Dominican Republic. During his free time, he attended a minor-league catchers mini camp led by catching coordinator Corky Miller and catching coach J.R. House.
