The Phillies have placed Didi Gregorius on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to May 5. The team has a need for shortstop, and if Gregorius cannot be traded, they might need to find a replacement. Although he is not a particularly exciting player, his performance with the team in his previous stint should give them some reason to keep him. There is also a chance that the team will trade him for salary relief.
