The Phillies have added left-handed closer Brad Hand to their bullpen, making him a free agent acquisition. The left-hander, who turned 32 on Sunday, began his career with the Miami Marlins. He pitched for three different teams last season and was designated for assignment before the end of the season. Hand had one blown save during the entire season and the Phillies hope he can rebound and keep the Phillies in the hunt for a World Series.
