After landing on the Opening Day roster of the Washington Nationals after an elbow injury to Carter Kieboom, Maikel Franco is one of the more intriguing prospects in the team’s farm system. A left-handed hitter with a high ISO, Franco has shown flashes of power throughout his career. Although he struggled last year with the Orioles, he bounced back this Spring with a strong nine-for-32 campaign, hitting a career-high.281 with two home runs. His upside as an everyday hitter is apparent.
