The St. Louis Cardinals are in need of a third baseman after Jedd Gyorko was placed on the disabled list due to a lower back strain. The Cardinals are looking to add some infield depth to their roster, and Tommy Edman could fill that role. Edman has been hitting well at Triple-A and has experience playing shortstop, second base, and even center field. He has shown some excellent speed as well.
