In late April, the Pittsburgh Pirates promoted Jack Suwinski from the minors to the majors. The Pirates had added Suwinski to the 40-man roster as part of the Adam Frazier trade. The move protected the outfielder from the Rule 5 Draft. He has since been playing at Double-A Altoona. Suwinski is a corner outfielder. His offensive power and speed will help the Pirates in the long run.
