The Philadelphia Phillies have avoided arbitration by signing right-handed pitcher Zach Eflin to a multi-year contract. The new deal includes a base salary of $5.5 million over the next five years, a $15 million mutual option and a $150K buyout. In addition to this salary, Eflin will earn performance bonuses based on innings pitched. Zach Eflin is coming off a career-high twelve strikeouts in his last start.
