After making just one start in Triple-A with the New York Yankees, the Philadelphia Phillies have a strong starting pitcher in Nick Nelson. He has a 6.43 ERA in 35 career major-league innings and a 16.1 percent walk rate. Nelson will have a difficult time keeping his job when the Phillies’ rosters get down to 26 players in early May. Nelson spent the majority of the 2021 season in the minors. He then signed with the New York Yankees in the 2016 MLB draft.
