The Philadelphia Phillies have placed right-hander Kent Emanuel on the 60-day injured list. The 28-year-old reportedly underwent a procedure to correct an internal brace in his left elbow, which prevented Tommy John surgery. Despite his illustrious career, Emanuel will be out until at least 2022. In his first season in the big league, Emanuel posted a 2.55 ERA in 17 2/3 innings. He was picked up off waivers by Philadelphia, but he did not pitch a full season, so he is still a prospect.
