The Philadelphia Phillies have signed reliever Jeurys Familia to a one-year contract. The deal is worth up to $6 million, and the physical is still pending. Familia, 31, has spent all but two months of his career with the New York Mets. During his two seasons in New York, he racked up 94 saves, including six in August. Last season, he had a 3.94 ERA and a 1.42 WHIP in 65 innings. He also had an ERA over seven runs in the last two seasons, and walked too often.
