After spending seven seasons in the Yankees organization, Domingo Acevedo signed a minor-league deal with the A’s in November. After Reymin Guduan was designated for assignment, the A’s needed a reliever to fill the 40-man roster. Acevedo tossed two-thirds of an inning and struck out five in a rough outing against the Mariners. His ERA jumped from 1.30 to 5.59 after the outing.
