Edwin Diaz, who is entering his fourth season in the MLB, has been inconsistent throughout his career. Although he was a league leader in saves in 2018, his season in New York was by far his worst. Diaz had a career-high 5.59 ERA and had seven blown saves, which were high numbers for him. The Mets’ management must take some blame for Diaz’s poor season.
