Adam Ottavino

The New York Mets have signed right-hander Adam Ottavino to a one-year deal, worth $4 million, plus $1 million in performance bonuses. The 36-year-old is from Brooklyn and spent the past two offseasons living in the city. The right-hander pitched for the Yankees and Red Sox before being traded to the Mets last season. His career ERA was 4.21 in 62 innings with the Red Sox. While he’s a quality pitcher who can get hitters out, he was not able to dominate right-handed batters in this season’s big-league lineup.
