After having a disappointing 2018 season, the Minnesota Twins brought Chris Archer to the team for their fifth rotation spot. Last year, the left-hander made just six starts for the Rays, throwing 19 innings and accumulating an 86 ERA+. Archer missed 21 1/3 innings due to injury and had his stuff down several ticks. Having just undergone surgery, the Twins needed a fifth starter and hoped Archer would be able to bounce back with offseason work with physical therapist.
