Jimmy Nelson

The Los Angeles Dodgers have decided not to pick up the $2 million option on Jimmy Nelson, which made him a free agent. Nelson signed a minor league deal with the Dodgers in December. Nelson will turn 32 on June 5, and he’s already 33-46 with a 4.22 ERA in 119 career games. He enjoyed a breakthrough season with the Brewers in 2017, but missed all of 2018 following a right shoulder surgery. Then, he suffered from elbow problems, limiting him to just 22 innings in 2019.
