Former UCLA ace right-hander Griffin Canning will make his Major League debut on April 30 against the Toronto Blue Jays. He was a second-round pick in the 2017 MLB First-Year Player Draft. The Angels selected Canning along with Kyle Wright and Nick Margevicius. The trio will pitch in relief of starter Aaron Sanchez. Currently, Canning has been assigned to Triple-A Salt Lake.
