The potential is there for Justin Staumont to emerge as a top-notch closer for the Kansas City Royals. However, given the presence of Wade Davis, Kelvin Herrera, and Greg Holland in the Royals’ bullpen, Staumont must first prove his worth in high-leverage situations in 2020. With only two seasons remaining in his contract, he could make the jump to the majors in as little as three years.
