The first baseman on the 2022 Royals roster will be Carlos Santana, and the Royals will need Dozier’s bat to come back into form. He struggled at times last year, but showed some promise toward the end of the season. His 20-homer potential remains high, and if he stays healthy, he could be a 100-105 wRC+ hitter for the entire season. Dozier has the potential to be a force in the six or eight spot, and his bat is still a plus asset for a team that is struggling to make the playoffs.
