The Royals have placed starting pitcher Brady Singer on the 10-day injured list, which means that Zuber will likely serve in a low-leverage role out of the bullpen. Zuber was optioned to Triple-A Omaha on Monday. The Royals aren’t likely to use Zuber much in the regular rotation, but they may consider him in a pinch-hitting role in the bullpen.
