After a stellar start to the season, Luis Garcia’s numbers have taken a turn for the worse in his last two starts. The right-hander gave up a game-tying RBI single to Ty France in the sixth inning. In the two games he has pitched since, Garcia has surrendered five earned runs over nine innings. Earlier this season, Garcia had allowed only three runs in 18 innings. His ERA, however, is now 3.38 after 42.2 innings this season. In addition, he’s struggled to limit the long ball this season, allowing seven home runs and a 1.48 HR/9 mark.
