The Detroit Tigers have signed veteran right-handed reliever Jacob Barnes to a minor league contract. The 24-year-old has been pitching for the New York Mets and Toronto Blue Jays since breaking into the big leagues in 2016. He will most likely spend the season in Triple-A. While Barnes has struggled to find consistency, his serviceable stuff makes him a good early bullpen option for the Tigers.
