Tyler Mahle

It may be too early to start evaluating Tyler Mahle as a starter, but his potential will soon be evident. After struggling in his debut season, Mahle turned things around and made four starts. In 2018, he opened the season in the Reds rotation, going 2-2 with a 4.98 ERA and being sent down to Triple-A in August. The Cincinnati Reds will rebuild their starting rotation in 2019 and 2020. With Sonny Gray, Wade Miley, Alex Wood, Trevor Bauer, and Tanner Roark in the majors, the Reds are looking to get their starter back on track with the right combination of young arms.
