After a rough stretch last season, the Baltimore Orioles optioned pitcher Bruce Zimmermann to Triple-A Norfolk. The right-hander was able to feel positive about his outing on Wednesday, but he didn’t have the kind of outing he wanted. After all, he’d given up 35 earned runs over his last 36 1/3 innings while striking out only 16 batters. That’s not a very impressive line. Zimmermann has surrendered 18 home runs in that span, though.
